Capstone milestones are different than dissertation milestones and fewer in number.  The milestones reflect the work you must complete on your doctoral capstone project, including faculty and school approval of your topic and research plan, IRB approval, and faculty and School approval of your doctoral capstone project.  There are also be additional administrative requirements such as Doctoral Publications Review, a final presentation of your capstone work, and publication of your doctoral capstone to Capella’s doctoral capstone repository.  You will have the opportunity to formally begin completing your doctoral capstone milestones when you transition to the doctoral capstone course. Once you transition, you will begin with Milestone 1, regardless of previous dissertation milestone completions.
