Recruiters within organizations are typically working to fill many open positions. To help manage these multiple job descriptions and the resumes submitted for these positions, some companies use a software package.  Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) can make communication with the job candidates easier, such as sending emailed notices of receipt of resume, and can provide features like screening incoming resumes for specific experience or skills based on keywords. It can also assist in the initial screening of candidates based on keywords and minimum criteria set by the organization.
