The short answer is yes, but depending on your current life circumstances, your internship may look different than a traditional one. Take some time to reflect on these questions:

  • Why are you looking for an internship?
  • How many hours can you dedicate to an internship?
    • Over what length of time?
    • Can you relocate?

Your responses to these questions will likely dictate the type of internship you seek. If you are not able to intern full-time, seek out part-time positions or projects with your current employer in your area of interest. You can also explore volunteer opportunities available in your community or workplace.
